I grew up in a very loving environment,  where I was always encouraged to be myself. As I grew up it seemed like being myself gave people mixed reactions. Some people felt like I was too loud, while others commended me for my freeness. This left me confused, I was not sure who to be on this earth. Until one day I realized that I shouldn’t put so much power in peoples hands. Because who I am will depend solely on what others think of me and that is no way to live. So I decided to be carefree, to not care what people thought of me and simply just do me. 

As time went on, I then saw that many of us opted to blend in because it felt safer. The freedom of being yourself is something I couldn’t explain but I wanted everyone to feel it. That is when I decided to start a brand in which I could constantly encourage people to be themselves and furthermore give them the tools to become better people. I knew I had to put myself out there so people know that it is not only possible but it is okay.

Karefree is now a set community which supports people owning who they are. As this is an ever-evolving journey, it gets tough and it gets tempting to hide behind your mask again. But having others to remind you that it is okay to be weird and great by just being themselves makes the journey easier.
